bifurcating ballgames

As evidenced by the cut-out from Sport mag above and the
statement from my loving chef below,
the brits don’t like basketball.

Too many points are scored.
There are skills, dunks and things.
But you don’t get excited.
It’s a samey.

Fair enough, some Americans don’t like football either.
They call it soccer, then spew insulting paragraphs about
David Beckham and his minions in the blogs as uttered by that
paunchy panelist in Chelsea Lately.

Cricket? I enjoy a TV match once in a while.
But not enough for me to wax lyrical about the
likes of Stuart Broad and company.
