H drama

The hostage drama that ended with eight Hongkong nationals being killed in a tourist bus was truly and utterly sad. Much more significant than Venus Raj non-answer. We all have ideas on what could have been done. I didn't even know there was drama until I opened facebook.

But first Ate Maria, "Oy narinig mo, may hijack daw sa atin?"
(did you hear there was a hijack at home?)

"Anong hijack eroplano?" (what hijack, airplane?)

"Hindi bus." (No, bus).

"Paanong maha-hijack ang bus? (how can a bus be hijacked?)

Then the conversation ended, and the subject after the fact is never discussed again ever. There's nothing we can do. This is an isolated incident, with the ramifications huge for the tourism industry. But a lot less bravado would be a treat.
