skating indulgence
yagudin and plushenko were masters of artistry. both came to mind after the worlds at gothenburg. in either gymnastics or figure skating, one may get overscored through reputation or the whim of an asinine judge. but falling on an apparatus or sliding off the ice is not an option. the will not to fall should be strong. who cares who comes in second if you collar the gold?
