do potter

after a few hours of meddling with my blog's design, i finally able to finish an almost acceptable template. some plug-ins from our desktop were showing unauthorised ads. i had no choice but mess around the lay out until i got a few customisations.

i don't have time for this. staring at computer screens or merely interneting, it takes a lot of attention. i spent five days of my day off the past week just focusing on the baby's routine (and ordering and waiting for parcels) that i couldn't insert some "me" time, even to write the work review. or visit the shops (i did wander in the shopping center for an hour or less. it was half term and the kids weren't taught manners whilst the pram pushers were even worse). darn, i need to fill in the blanks of that review, starting now.

on the 24th

one of my wishes in life is to be articulate, as a writer, a speaker, in any language, to enunciate with close to perfect diction, to write elegant prose, to speak and write the best hiligaynon, the poetic language of simplicity.
then there are others who are brilliant in any endeavour. as an actor, Daniel Day Lewis should be the standard bearer (or Jason Statham, whoever gets your drift). His Lincoln makes you forget he's posh English or he was Guido from Nine. if i have the time ( that's a huge If), i will watch every entry in his filmography, compare and contrast performances, be mesmerised and on the evening of the 24th February, Los Angeles time, I'll stay up late until dawn for his Oscar's speech.

7 months

today baby girl is seven months old, she's all grown up-- full of fire, hell bent on kicking her mother during changing time. basically, if she'll only sit still during photo shoots or any time she's awake, that'll be a huge help in increasing my energy levels. but she's totally miss adorable.

only two days?

spent two whole days with my baby girl without encumbrances and interruptions, it's pure bliss. to say I long for the innocent heydays of maternity leave is utter understatement. if only i could take a year off and stage a more refreshing return to the job. but that isn't possible even to the very rich. to the heirs and heiresses, the trust fund kids, yes, they don't need to work, ever. but to those who are at the pinnacle, the denizens who run their own empires, it might not be possible to take a few months off.

now that the exchange rate between the philippine peso and other currencies is becoming negligible, it's not fiscally prudent to laze and stare into the abyss of nothingness. it's a point to ponder whether RP is really becoming the newest tiger of SE Asia -- fewer corruption, a lot less politics, very little gossip (?). if we flex our muscles, in addition to brainstorming innovative ideas perhaps it could ignite even more economic passion in our lives. but if we take the Juan T. way of waiting for the fruit to descend from the tree, we'll be staring for a long time. though for those of us in Western Europe, it's hoping for a tiny glimmer of gold.

please, energy!

i'm doing my ultimate best to update in these very hectic times. it's February, the month of waking up so very early to earn the keep, feed the baby and check the gamut of emotions, which I all did in the very busy January.

but television is out. i have two more episodes of The Hour, two for The Good Wife, a few more of Glee. do I still have to bother with Glee? or just glue myself and the baby to Disney Junior? unlike Nick Jr., there are no adverts for heavily priced toys. that's the life of a sleep deprived individual ( miss the 8-hour snoozefest). all work, no blog?
